Abstract Geography occupies a central role in The Murderer’s Ape (2014/2017), Swedish children’s novel by Jakob Wegelius. Drawing on theories of critical literary geography, the article is an analysis novel’s geography and exploration how narrative shapes produces place space. shows that both represents challenges colonial power structures through production Methodologically, three complementary approaches are utilized: analyzing visual maps endpapers, visualizing means GIS-generated maps, mapping verbal narrative.
